Gene Pourcho joined CBMC in 1981 as a member of the Birmingham committee. In 1989 he came on staff as the Senior Metro Director of Detroit. Gene also served a number of years as Field Staff Director for the eastern third of the U.S., and more recently, as Associate Staff in our Detroit office. Prior to that Gene practiced Dentistry in Birmingham for 34 years, the last 8 of those in partnership with his son Bill.
    Gene is active in the Rochester Hills committee, as well as his church. He also takes turns leading weekly Bible studies at two locations of American House apartments, where he gets great joy interacting with the seniors and helping them discover the truth of God's Word. Gene is always more than willing to come in to the CBMC office to volunteer when needed.
    Gene and his wife, Roberta, reside in Bloomfield Hills and have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.
