Committee
Profile: Dearborn
By Ron Bultman. The Dearborn CBMC group meets every Wednesday morning in the Product
Development Center (PDC) of Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, technically at 6:40
A.M., but most members show up at 7:00 A.M.
This location
serves the members well since most are Ford Engineers. However, those who are
not Ford employees will have difficulty getting into the PDC building due to the
new security card controlled turnstiles through which everyone must pass. This
presented a significant problem to me as Chairman since I work in the field of
"multiplication", instead of being a Ford employee. My problem was solved
when I became an official "supplier" and received my Ford photo ID entrance
badge. Visitors should contact me at 313/982-3774 before coming so we can help
you gain entrance into the building. Our committee (jointly
with the Redford committee) continues the strategy of holding two annual outreaches
per year, generally in March and October. We find a sense of purpose in continuing
to do this. I can report first hand how these repeated outreaches have positively
influenced those attending from my office. Indeed, the whole atmosphere of our
office has been changed for the better and Christ has been glorified. We wish
to thank Beth of the Metro Office for making these semi-annual exercises run with
ease. Having just completed studies in I John and II
John, we are now studying III John. By the time this is read in the Quarterly
Newsletter, we may be doing Jude. Our pace is measured and thorough since we study
only a few verses per week. We are always looking for
a few more good men (or women) so if you can refer anyone to us, we will certainly
make them feel at home. Each of the last two weeks we have had a first time guest
come due to the invitation of one of our members. |
