CBMC
"Hall of Fame" Joe
Williams joined CBMC in 1992 and served as Chairman of the New Center Committee
for several years. A featured speaker at both local and national CBMC events,
Joe is in demand with numerous other Christian groups as well. Joe's
recent autobiography, "Sheep in Wolves' Clothing", is truly captivating.
As a teenager growing up in Detroit, Joe left his Christian roots, turned to a
life of hard drugs and crime, and served time in Leavenworth prison before coming
back to the Lord. After recommitting his life to Christ
at age 28, Joe went on to graduate from William Tyndale College with a Bachelor
of Religious Education degree in 1988, and in 1994 received a Master of Arts degree
in applied sociology from Wayne State. Joe is currently the Managing Director
for Network for Life and Detroit Transition of Prisoners, both outreaches of Prison
Fellowship Ministries. He and his wife, Sharon, have two sons and two daughters.
Joe's
story is intriguing and would be a special encouragement to anyone who has a "lost
sheep" they care about. Call (313) 874-0242 if you'd like to order a copy
of his book!
